Elements Scent Blends - We go by Chinese Medicine where there are FIVE elements, not just four, including Wood.
Air Elements: Lavender, lemongrass, peppermint, rosemary, eucalyptus.
Earth Elements: Patchouli, cedarwood, geranium, bergamot, frankincense.
Fire Elements: Sweet orange, bergamot, allspice, ginger, cinnamon.
Water Elements: Tangerine, lavender, ylang ylang, clary sage, geranium.
Wood Elements: Fir needle, cedarwood, rosemary, grapefruit.
Element scent qualities:
Air: Air element promotes communication, travel, intellect, intuition, divination, freedom and wisdom.
When our air element is in balance we are thinking at our best, most logical and analytical thoughts. We are clear and rational. We are sensitive, honest, courageous, firm, proud, uplifted, forgiving, and loyal.
Earth: The Earth Element is associated with peace, fertility, sensuality, money, business success, employment stability, garden growth. When our earth element is healthy: We feel supported by nature and the universe, we have an authentic feeling of confidence, we are at ease and comfortable with life. We cultivate true purpose and feel solid in our beliefs.
Fire: Fire relates to passion, energy, creativity, action, warmth, will power, drive and motion.
When our fire element is healthy: We have high spirit. Action, our drive, desire and will power are a strong force. Our intuition and enthusiasm guide us to the right place at the right time to meet the right people. We feel joy and sense of purpose in our life along with positive energy.
Water: The Water element is associated with feelings of love, healing, peace, compassion, reconciliation, forgiveness, friendship, release, sleep dreams, intuition purification, being in flow with the universe.
When our water element is healthy: We feel a sense of power and equilibrium, increased sense of trust, less fear and anxiety and courage to face the unknown. The emotions are balance and receptive.
Wood: Strong energy of the Wood element includes exceptionally clear vision and goal-making, knowing how to bring these goals into being with a focus on planning and decision making. It is the element of re-birth & renewal. Those with a firm sense of this element can be forceful in disagreements and strongly argue opinions. Their piercing, penetrating eyes may attract, but avoid their wrath. This strength can be both a blessing and a curse, depending upon how managed. Wood element enables us to move forward with vision and determination.
Plain Beeswax & Soy - Unscented, just the natural, slightly honeyed scent of the beeswax. Perfect for those who do not wish to add scent into theri atmosphere while burnign candles.
*Apple Pie - Nothing makes a house smell homier, and, is rumored to be a #1 aphrodisiac for men!
*Bayberry - Long a traditional candle scent and Christmas favorite. Classy, classic and vintage.
*Dragonsblood & Cinnamon - Rich, warm, resinous and spicey! Dragonsblood is used for banishment and protection rituals. Ghosts be gone, new beginnings begin!
Eucalyptus, Rosemary & Lemon Verbena - Cleansing and mind-sharpening, this essential oil blend is known to jump-start creativity. A most appropriate scent to burn when studying, working, crafting or spring cleaning your space.
Fir, Pine & Spruce - Bring Old Growth forests indoors, and the scent of fresh-cut Christmas trees. Recent studies show amazing effects of coniferous trees on our well being and health. We encourage you to study and find out!
*Frankincense, Oakmoss & Musk - Earthy scents of the forest after a hard rain. Frankincense is known to reduce stress and anxiety.
Grapefruit, Verbena & Vetiver - Bright and mood-lifting citruses with the grounding base note of earthy vetiver. Always a favorite and beautiful background scent for parties and gatherings.
Frankincense & Lavender - A perfect combo for calming and anxiety-reducing, woody frankincense and herbal lavender.
*Freesia - One of the most perfect flowers, clean, sweet, floral, simple.
*Heather, Clover & Lilac - Primarily *green* in scent, like walking an Irish countryside or verdant glen with hints of sweet lilac. This blend says SPRING and CLEAN.
*Jasmine & Orange Blossom - Romantic jasmine flower and sweet orange blossom compliment each other perfectly and seductively.
Lavender - The Queen of all herbs, noted for it's calming effects. We use Bulgarian lavender, one of the sweetest and lovliest of the species.
Lavender Tangerine - A perfect marriage of herbal and sweet citrus, another true mood-brightener, clean and happy!
*Nag Champa - The very name is synonomous with far east incense, spicey, resinous, yet sweet. Used often in meditation, yoga practice, reaching a higher spritual level or deep-thinking.
Orange, Clove, Cinnamon & Cardamom - A perennial favorite as it reminds us of homey comforts, like hot spiced tea, holiday baking, autumn and Halloween.
Patchouli - Either you love it or hate it, but funny enough, there seems to be no middle ground. Those who love it know it's aphrodisical powers, and memories it invokes of happy hippie days and the desire to return to them.
*Red Currant - A deep, complex and indescribable dark berry scent made famous by Votivo. A Christmas favorite for certain, but many have made this their one-and-only, it's that addictive, and casts a magic spell on your atmosphere.
*Rose & Vanilla - The soft, powdery, feminine blend of roses and vanilla is a long time classic and reminds of tea parties in the rose garden on a beautiful summer day.
Sage & Vetiver - An alternative to waving a burning bundle of sage to ward of unwanted spirits or energy in your space, grounded with a smokey note of earthy vetiver. Cleansing and purifying.
*Sandalwood & Cedar - Both essential oils are known for their grounding and mental clarity effects, along with being relaxing and calming, even memory boosting. The scent of these woods ties us and our atmosphere to Earth.
*Vanilla & Vetiver - Long a cherished candle scent, vanilla reminds us of our sweetest memories, is an anti-depressant, and aphrodisiac . It can also help to get a good night's sleep for insomniacs. A wee touch of earthy vetiver give this blend a sophisticated boost. We use vanilla fragrance as well as Mexican vanilla extract.
Selections marked with an asterisk (*) contain all or some part fragrance. We use only phthalate-free fragrances. UN-asterisked selections are either unscented, or contain pure aromatherapy-grade essential oils.
