Carol Ochs Art
& Fiber Crafts
Carol has drawn and painted all her life, self-taught in several different mediums and always trying more! First inspirations were the gorgeous illustrations in children's picture books she was mesmerized by as a child. Then as an adult, she found herself drawn-to and inspired again by the gorgeous picture books she read to her own children when they were small; a re-kindled inspiration-fest with all things mythic, whimsical, and magical she'd been intuitively connected with in her own childhood...a return to imaginative roots. And thus, she's been painting fairies, mermaids, witches, dragons, and all manner of enchanted beings ever since!
Carol's art has been featured in books, online magazines, as commissioned enchanted portraits, and is available as prints, greeting cards, and on many useful products (mugs, trays, t-shirts, totes, aprons, etc.) at art venues listed at her main art website: .....
Her art frequently appears locally in San Diego at La Bodega Art Gallery, and at Comic Con's annual Art Show that features fantasy and science fiction art.
Come visit, perhaps find an enchanted treasure or two to grace your own realm, or gift to someone who appreciates myth, magic & fantasy! Perhaps a child's special room! Carol is also available for commissioned art & illustration for your special illustration project or portraiture!

Carol came from a family where pretty much all the womenfolk (and some men) knew/learned how to sew, knit, crochet, embroider, stitch, quilt, etc., from a very early age. Hand-spinning yarn from raw wool fiber for knitting/crocheting however, is a craft she learned later in life and has been enamored with ever since! Finished hand-knit or crocheted goods, and on occasion, spun art yarns are currently available at her Etsy shop, however we will be making a store for them HERE soon, ...again, for one-stop shopping!
